This well-structured Riesling displays nice aromas of citrus fruits (orange and mandarin) that carries through to the palate. The wine has a true sense of gravitas with a full mouthfeel and long aftertaste that lingers with hints of clean, crisp minerals. This wine is ideal served with grilled sole, smoked salmon, white meats, pork tenderloin in a rich cream sauce, Asian foods, Alsatian tarts, or perfect with sushi.
Bottled by Arthur Metz. Native Alsatians for over three generations, the Helfrich family is committed to promoting the reputation of Alsace as a region which produced world-class wines of great flavor and complexity. In 1979, Joseph Helfrich founded Groupe GCF / Les Grands Chais de France to specialize in the production, aging, bottling, and trading of wines and spirits. Today, they are one of the top French wholesale wine and spirits merchants in the world. The group's head office and main production site is in Petersbach, at the heart of the Vosges du Nord Regional Natural Park in Alsace. However, the winery (named Arthur Metz) that produces the Helfrich line of wines is in Marlenheim, just Northwest of Strasbourg. This Riesling is crafted from grapes grown in Alsatian vineyards located at the foot of the Vosges, between Marlenheim and Thann. This diverse growing region allows Helfrich's winemakers to create wines with flavor intensity and finesse.
