Our 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon is deep crimson in color, with aromas of anise, cassis, blueberries and freshly ground coffee. It has flavors of plum, black cherry, cocoa, vanilla and black pepper, with polished tannins. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Our Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon harvest in 2009 was a bit of a roller coaster ride. Summer was relatively cool, warmer temperatures in September advanced sugar, tannin, and flavor development, only to be delayed by a cool, wet October. The vintage overall is an example of ripeness without high alcohol.
