Freixenet Cuvee de Prestige Casa Sala 2006
This very special, traditionally produced cava is made at the old Casa Sala villa, where the Freixenet story began. Two traditional grape varieties are used for the blend, Xarel-lo and Parellada, and their percentages in the cuvee change from year to year. Freixenet is a renowned producer and distributor of wines from wineries in Spain, Chile, Italy, France, and Argentina, and is known worldwide for its cava and sparkling wines. 1914 marked the release of the first bottles of cava under the Freixenet brand crafted by the Ferrer-Sala family at their Casa Sala facility, the first wine exporting house in Saint Sadurni d'Anoia.
