Freeman Vineyard & Winery Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2013
The Freeman Vineyard & Winery is located in the Russian River appellation, nestled between the Sonoma Valley and the Sonoma Coast. Their Burgundian-style Pinot Noir is handcrafted in small lots using grapes from some of the region's most-acclaimed, cool-climate vineyards.
Displays an alluring, deep ruby color, with a ripe nose of blackberry, toast, and an interesting medicinal hint. It is vibrant on the palate, filled with a racy entry that erupts into lush flavors of wild berry, olive, and smoked meats along with terroir-inspired elegance. The large-framed palate and long, fruity finish predict that the 2011 Freeman Russian River Valley Pinot Noir will need some time to develop in the bottle. Try it anytime, but anticipate it will be drinking at its best between 2015 and 2022. Freeman hopes that you will savor every glass of this rich, unfiltered Pinot Noir.
