Since 1868, the Forstreiter family has been making wine in the town of Krems-Hollenburg along the Danube River, adjacent to the Wachau. But, the current owner and winemaker, Forstreiter, has brought the vineyard to a new level of quality and reputation. St. Laurent is an indigenous grape of Austria and a relative of Pinot Noir.
