Florian Mollet Sancerre Roc de l'Abbaye 2008
Sauvignon Blanc | France
The most stony, mineral wine you'll ever come across, this tiny production Sauvignon has the addition of flint mixed with the Kimmeridgean limestone that lends gunpowder, flinty notes to the lime, citrus and wet stone flavor profile.
This is gorgeous Sauvignon, a real head-turner, somewhat akin to riveting beauty in whatever form it takes. Blue points are perfect here but there's enough flesh and generous fruit to sip it all on its own.
