A bright wine with medium to high intensity. Primary aromas of fruit and red berries underscored by notes of liquorice. Well balanced in the mouth with an aftertaste that reiterates the sensations perceived in the nose. Ideal with all types of meat. A good complement to pasta dishes, tapas, or medium-cured cheeses. Like all young red wines, it should be consumed within a year after being put on the market. Always keep it in a cool, dark, quiet place. Serve at 61–64 degrees F.
85% Tempranillo, 15% Garnacha. Since the founding of Faustino Rivero Ulecia by Olegario Rivero in 1899, the Rivero family has always been linked to the cultivation, processing, and aging of wines in the region of Arnedo. In 2003 the Rivero Family decided to build a new winery, Hacienda y Vinyedos Marques del Atrio, as enlarging the winery in Arnedo was not possible and the ability to grow grapes in the area was limited. The family chose the area of Mendavia in the Ebro valley because it guarantees a supreme quality of the grapes, necessary in order to meet the requirements of the market. Today, their family structure, still in place, has evolved into a modern, professional company able to meet the needs of the most demanding markets.
