Made with Sangiovese and fermented in medium sized stainless steel tanks. Suitable to drink young and can last and improve for a few years.
Produced entirely from our own grapes, utilizing principally selections of Sangiovese Grosso, a Sangiovese with a larger berry, the wine represents the entry level of the Zerbina estate’s red wine production. It has nonetheless received a certain amount of recognition from critics. The fermentation is shorter and less intense than that used for the better selections, as Ceregio is conceived as a wine suitable to be drunk young even if, in certain vintages, it can last and improve for 5-6 years.
