The Cabernet Sauvignon from Oso Vineyard is beautifully balanced, with a supple, elegant texture and lush ripe fruit flavors of cherry, blackberry, and subtle oak nuances of chocolate, toffee, and toasted vanilla. From the mountain fruit, the wine extracts intense flavors, a firm structure, and excellent aging potential.
Produced and bottled by the Michael Mondavi Winery. Emblem is a reflection of both Mondavi's winemaking tradition, and of the finest Cabernet Sauvignon fruit in Napa Valley. Their Oso Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a true expression of its single-vineyard origin. Nestled between Sugarloaf and Howell Mountains in Napa Valley, on slopes rising up from Schwartz Creek, our family's Oso Vineyard yields Cabernet Sauvignon with intense varietal characteristics. These vines grow on beautiful stone-lined terraces, out of a rocky, porous soil whose high drainage stresses the vines and highly concentrates flavors in the grapes. Mild temperatures and afternoon breezes that blow straight down the vineyard rows maintain the fruit's freshness and vibrancy throughout the growing season.
