The opening of Ella Valley Vineyards, in 2001, revived the wine culture which was a hallmark of the region for thousands of years with the help of 21st century technology and skills. The goals of its founders were to produce excellent wine by relying on the unique qualities and conditions of the area. The wine also had to be kosher to enable its distribution on a large scale in Israel and worldwide.
