Drew Family Cellars Mid-Elevation Pinot Noir 2017
The fruit for this wine comes from four vineyards (Valenti, Fashauer, Perli, Estate) in Mendocino Ridge, and one in Anderson Valley (5% Wendling), all of which are planted at "mid-elevation" between 1200-1400 feet. 55% is from the Drew Estate vineyard. 20% whole cluster fermentation, aged in 10% new French oak. Jason along with wife Molly started Drew sixteen years ago with a simple goal in mind: to craft small lot coastal wines that express site specificity and traditional varietal character. In keeping with this goal, they searched up and down the northern California coast for a suitable plot of land to plant their first estate Pinot Noir and to build a small boutique winery.
