Donna Laura Bramosia Chianti Classico 2012

With a deep ruby color and intense aromas of cherry and red fruit, this Chianti Classico balances ripe fruit and acidity with well-integrated accents of wood and spice. A great match with roasted meats or flavorful pastas, this wine is also delicious to sip on its own without food.

85% Sangiovese, 15% Merlot. The Donna Laura winery was founded in 2004 by Lia Tolaini-Banville in the heart of Tuscany. Lia named the winery in honor of her late aunt, Donna Laura, who had had such an amazing influence on her life and her love and appreciation of Italian culture, food, and art. The label of the first wine, Bramosia Chianti Classico DOCG, was inspired by one of Laura's favorite pieces of art —a painting of Bacchus, Cupid, and Venus by Dutch artist Hendrick Goltzius.
