Domaines Schlumberger Pinot Gris Grand Cru Spiegel 2007
The Schlumberger estate is located in Alsace, which is east of France. In 1810, Nicolas Schlumberger bought about 50 acres of vineyards and laid the foundations for a rare harmony between human needs and the earth - Domaines Schlumberger was born. This respect of nature and environment has always been an essential element of the way of life and philosophy of the Schlumberger family. And, it is still evident even today—through manual plowing of the fields with horses and biodynamic farming, which ensure great, quality wines for future generations. Pinot Gris Grand Cru Spiegel fully reflects the true character of the grape variety with a delicate aroma. The wine is fleshy, opulent, and well-built.
Bright, clear lemon-yellow color, with gold reflections of a good intensity. Intense aromas and flavors of yellow-fleshed fruits, quince, apple, pear, and autumn fruits. A beautiful, lively finish. Wonderfully complements foie gras, fish cooked with butter or cream, white meat, poultry, or game.
