Domaine Gerard Millet Sancerre Blanc 2013
Expressions of ripe, pink grapefruit, mango, passion fruit, and lychee mingle perfectly in this wine. It is marked by intense aromatics, fresh acidity, and a dry flinty quality.
100% Sauvignon Blanc. Situated in the Bue village, near Sancerre, the Millet family has been making wine for over 5 generations. The estate covers a total of 49 acres of vineyards, of which 17 are planted with Sauvignon Blanc and 3 are planted with Pinot Noir. This family-owned winery is not well-known outside the Loire Valley, but it has an excellent local reputation. It is modern, well-equipped, and benefits from its own bottling line. Gerard Millet only makes a few thousand cases of his signature clean, crisp, and very aromatic Sancerre per year. Their wines are marked by intense aromatics, fresh acidity, and a dry flinty quality.
