Domaine Georg Rafael Cabernet Sauvignon 2009
A characteristic, deep ruby-purple color. The wine presents classic aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and cedar which opens with time to reveal complex notes of tobacco, earth, licorice, and mint. Deftly structured while being soft and approachable. The long finish is accentuated by blackberry and cedar. The structure allows the wine to stand up on its own and pair wonderfully with food. It will easily allow aging for 12-15 years.
Marc Rafael's father dedicated his life to the art of hospitality, becoming one of the world's great hoteliers and an icon to Marc. Along his journey, he fell in love with wine and, in 1984, purchased a beautiful site in the foothills of the Mayacamas mountain range in Southwestern Napa Valley. The terroir produces wines with a wonderful combination of old-world elegance and new-world boldness. Domaine Georg Rafael, the estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon, has evolved into a shared passion that they hope you will treasure as much as they do!
