Exclusively planted grape variety Chenin also called Pineau de Loire, the historic grape of the Loire Valley in Anjou and Touraine, the vineyards of Savennières produces dry white wines of legendary color from light yellow. The size is short, the vines being planted in rock flower in a stony soil mixed with green or dark shales, often oxidized, old lava rich in iron and magnesium, and a thin layer of topsoil.
100% Chenin Blanc. Botted at Chateau de Chamboureau. Domaine FL was founded in 2007 when Philip Fournier acquired and united two pre-existing neighboring estates in the heart of Anjou, creating a UNESCO World Heritage site with breathtaking surroundings. The estate was named in honor of Philip's parents. Within the 74 acres, Domaine FL has the great privilege of focusing on chenin blanc and cabernet franc, spanning five distinct appellations. This dynamic tapestry of terroir provides Domaine FL with the ability to create chenin blanc and cabernet franc of striking individuality.
