Expressing fresh herbs, this wine smells of basil, sage and peppermint, which give it an unusual but captivating perfume. Wild at first, it has a remarkable finesse. Far from the wines of competitions, this is a beautiful model of 2006 Gigondas, firm and capable of aging, but drinkable now.
Deep red. An impressively complex bouquet offers aromas of raspberry, cherry, apricot, nutmeg and potpourri, with a gentle smoky note adding interest. Supple, seamless red and dark berry flavors stain the palate, with tangy minerality providing bite. The apricot note echoes through the long, spicy finish. A very intriguing wine.
