Domaine Drouhin Oregon was establed in 1987 by Burgundy's Maison Joseph Drouhin. The landmark gravity-flow winery and 225-acre estate sit high atop the Dundee Hills, overlooking Oregon's Williamette Valley and the snow-capped peaks of the Cascade Mountains. Their wines are handcrafted by 4th generation winemaker Veronique Drouhin-Boss.
The Williamette Valley Pinot Noir is a wine of superb balance, elegance, and finesse. It is lovely upon release and has a history of aging very well. On the nose and on the palate, there is black cherry, dried cherry, and raspberry, among other red fruits. The second layer is more floral, with violets and lilac.
