Domaine des Remparts Bourgogne Cote d'Auxerre Rouge 2011
Nice ruby color. On the palate, the Pinot Noir reveals red berry aromas with mineral hints. Can be served with all kinds of meat, red or white (except for game), all kinds of cheeses, or grilled fish.
Domaine des Remparts is a Burgundian family farm located 6 miles south of Auxerre, between Paris and Dijon to the Saint-Bris-le-Vineux. This village, proud of its cellars and its twelfth- and thirteenth-century church, is the most important wine town of the Auxerre vineyard. Wine has been cultivated there for several centuries to the present day thanks to the passion of its winemakers. Patrick, Jean-Marc, and Thomas Sorin, winemakers from father to son for 19 generations, develop their quality wines by harmoniously combining traditional know-how and technological progress while respecting the environment. Today, the domain operates a surface of over 90 acres of vines allowing the production of seven different wine appellations.
