Domaine Bellevue Sauvignon 2012
It's golden yellow color is wonderfully rich, intense and appealing. Intense and complex with predominant aromas of mandarin orange, passion fruit, and ripe pineapple. Sheer, lean, and savory with a great finish.
100% Sauvignon Blanc. After finishing his studies at the excellent viticultural college at Amboise, Patrick Vauvy took over the family's vineyards back in 1991. Set above the banks of the Cher, on the deep sand of the south-facing slopes of Noyers, the vineyards of Domaine Bellevue are ideally suited to the creation of immediately appealing and aromatic wines of great finesse—traits that are further evolving through the use of long pruning, spring debudding, and summer thinning to further control yields and ensure quality and ripeness at harvest. Today, the domain has over 64 acres of vines, including 13 of Sauvignon Blanc, 5 each of Gamay and Cabernet, and a little Chardonnay and Cot (Malbec). Domaine Bellevue Savignon has great varietal character, typical of the Loire Valley terroir.
