This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon shows the classic ruby/garnet hue. The aromas are inviting with the darker notes of ripe cherry and chocolate getting a pleasing lift from a presence of red currant. This lift is what one would expect from the western bench Cabernet that composes 45% of the blend. The western bench shows through again with the bright cherry flavors and elegant expression of tannin in this seamless wine. The addition of Cabernet from the eastern hills brings forth the deeper notes of blackberry and cedar while providing the textural curves and softened edges that one would expect from a Cabernet Sauvignon that has the potential to reward cellaring for the 6-8 year term. The house style is supple tannin and a balanced expression of the appellation and this wine delivers fruit to complete the package.
