Daniel Bouland is probably best known for the old-fashioned Morgon wines he produces, but he also has a tiny parcel of vineyards in Chiroubles. While Morgon is known for being bold and earthy, Chiroubles is the opposite end of the spectrum: delicate aromas of violets and soft red fruit. Light, elegant and ethereal.

Gamay grape. Daniel Bouland is perhaps the greatest producer of the old-fashioned Morgon commune. From less than 10 acres of old vines, he makes wines that can age 20 years and are more comparable to fine Cote de Nuits burgundies. His Corcellette vineyard. The Chiroubles cuvee is Domaine Daniel Bouland's flagship wine. Even if the wine is light and easy, cellar for one year to appreciate its full value.
