Cusumano Vini Benuara 2007
Cusumano's wines come from premium sites all over Sicily, and are produced at the Partinico (straight west of Palermo) based family winery by third generation winemakers and brothers Diego and Alberto Cusumano. They craft wines of the new Sicily typified by outstanding varietal expression, rich flavors, and a sensuality that could only be born under the Sicilian sun.
70% Nero d'Avola, 30% Syrah. Established in 1963, the Cusumano's family company started as a small producer and grape provider to great and traditional wine houses of Sicily. Their first wines began to be produced in 2000, after almost 40 years of studies and experimentation, already under the management of young brothers Alberto and Diego Cusumano. Although their short history as wine producers, the Cusumanos intimately know the virtues of their vineyards, which are distributed by several of the main vine regions of Sicily and deployed with different trunks, according to the vocation of each region. So, they were and are capable of producing rare-quality wines for tempting prices, turning in a few years from anonymity to a condition of Sicilian viticulture stars.
