Crowley Pinot Noir 2014
A gorgeous mixture of bright red and violet gives this wine a beautiful presentation. The nose reveals high tone cherry, strawberry and pomegranate, with an alluring mix of earth and spice. Balanced and lean, the palate demonstrates crisp acidity and vibrant tannin structure. Raspberry, orange peel and clove round out this complex and vibrant wine which perfectly captures the expression of the angular and energetic 2013 vintage.
Before launching his eponymous venture, Tyson Crowley spent a dozen years working for some of the Willamette Valley’s most prestigious wineries. Now releasing his eighth vintage, Crowley’s skills and focus place him in the among Oregon finest winemakers. Crowley’s fresh, floral and high toned 2013 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir casts a gorgeous crimson-ruby robe in the glass segueing to aromas of Montmorency cherries, cinnamon and loamy soil. Tangy and transparent, the wine’s pure kernel of pie cherry and red raspberry fruit is complemented by notes of rhubarb, fruitwood smoke and crushed hazelnut shells.
