Conde de Valdemar Reserva 2006
Produced from grapes from Bodegas Valdemar's own vineyards, this specially selected wine stands out for its bright ruby-red color and its elegant aromas with a background of ripe fruit. It has been aged for 17 months in casks of American and French oak and another 24 in bottle for further complexity and elegance before being released. It is a great match for homemade stews, rice dishes, oven and barbecued roasts, red meats, or Iberian sausages.
90% Tempranillo, 10% Mazuelo. Bottled by Bodegas Valdemar. In 1889, Joaquin Martinez Bujanda first began to grow grapes in Rioja, Spain. Nearly 100 years later, the family expanded their vineyards and began construction of what today is known as Bodegas Valdemar. With 125 years of winemaking and five generations of family, Bodegas Valdemar provides the utmost quality to each of their wines as they sit on the border of traditional and modern with their two labels—Conde de Valdemar and Inspiracion Valdemar.
