Conde de Siruela Crianza 2008
Color: Ruby red, clean with high medium layer. Bouquet: A clean, powerful, and complex wine with elegant aromas characteristic of ageing. Certain lingering fruity fragances and resinous nuances.
100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo). Elaborated, aged, and estate bottled by Bodegas Santa Eulalia S.A., located in Horra in the heart of the Ribera del Duero and owned by Bodegas Frutos Villar. The beginning of the Frutos Villar family's professional involvement in the wine market can be traced back to the early 20th century when they only produced and sold wine locally from the Toro region. Well before the so-called "Denominaciones de Origen" or DO came into being, they set up their first winery at Toro in 1920. Staying true to their philosophy of renewal and progress, they established their second winery at Cigales in 1960. And, when the DO wine regions near their wineries were consolidated under the Castilla y Leon appellation in 1988, the Frutos Villar family purchased Bodegas Santa Eulalia, a winery belonging to the Ribera del Duero region. Frutos Villar continues to make great wines at their vineyards not belonging to any Denominacion de Origen while endeavoring to encompass all of Castile and Leon. All of Bodegas Santa Eulalia's bottles are rested in dormitories for a minium period of one year being being sold.
