Chimney Rock Winery Elevage Stags Leap District 2005
Chimney Rock Winery is the cornerstone of the Terlato Family wineries. It is symbolic of the family's dedication to producing the highest-quality wines. In 1980, Hack and Stella Wilson purchased a 180-acre parcel, which included a golf course, situated on the east side of the Silverado Trail. They also built a country house based on Cape Dutch-style architecture. The Wilson family teamed up with the Terlatos in 2000 for much-needed resources and the goal of enhancing Chimney Rock's reputation. Finally in 2004, the Terlato family assumed sole ownership of Chimney Rock but still crafts unique wines of exceptional quality that show a true sense of place. Elevage serves as an artistic portrait of the vintage at the Chimney Rock estate. Experience this blend that evokes finesse and complexity, depth and dimension, and truly highlights the singular nature of the Stags Leap District.
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot blend. Dark red color with a purple hue.
