Chateau Roc de Cambes 2007
Blend | France
Extraordinary deep purplish colour. Very sweet and burgundian and almost unspittable but with a finesse and sap that stops it being sickly. Great richness. Very fine tannins, Lovely freshness. Fine and lively.
75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Malbec. Roc de Cambes is located in the Cotes de Bourg appellation. This is not that far from St. Emilion . In fact it’s less than 30 kilometers due south of St. Emilion. In fact, Roc de Cambes has a terroir that is not much different than Tertre Roteboeuf, their legendary, St. Emilion estate, which is also owned by the Mitjavile family.
