Chateau Piney 2010
Blend | France
Fuller-bodied, dry. Deep purple hues in the glass and an extracted nose of dark plum fruit. 2010 is an expressive wine with lots of blackberries, currants, and earth notes. A nice level of tannin on the finish. Pair with lamb, beef, game, and mature cheeses.
The vineyard is owned by Jean Catusseau's descendants, former president of the Union de Producteurs de Saint-Emilion and it is managed by Etienne LAVEAU et Blandine BENEDETTI. The wine is elaborated by the cooperative. Wines from Chateau Piney are known for their powerful structure and deep flavors from red fruits such as cherry and strawberry, cinnamon and grilled bread. Tannins tend to be relatively spiced.
