Produced by S.C.I. de Boissac of Chateau Roc de Boissac, located in the heart of Puisseguin-Saint-Emilion, Lalande-de-Pomerol, and Lussac-Saint-Emilion. With a total of over 188 acres of vineyards, they have been producing world-acclaimed wines since the 19th century. Their vineyard in Puisseguin-Saint-Emilion is about 29 south-facing acres, all in one block. The soil there is comprised of silt, clay, and sand, and planted with varietals of 75% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines are aged in French oak barrels and in cellars hollowed out of solid rock. And their annual production is around 85,000 bottles, with kosher wine production representing about 10% of that. The Chateau Roc de Boissac name on a bottle of wine is a solid guarantee of quality. Each vintage since 1994 has been honored with medals at major French wine competitions and praised in the famous "Le Guide Hachette des Vins," one of France's preeminent wine guides.
