Chateau la Reverence Saint-Emilion Grand Cru 2007
Blend | France
50% Merlot, 50% Cabernet Franc. The vintage is dense in color, retaining a purplish-blue hint typical of wines that are slow to develop. Chewy and rich, with dried fruits and fresh herbs. Full and chewy.
Located behind Saint-Emilion village, on the "plateau" going to Pomerol, this small vineyard is facing some very famous Grand Cru Classe. On the palate, La Reverence is loaded with delicate and deep red fruits. The clay soil of this vineyard also gives it a round character, intensified by supple, mouth-filling tannins. Pairs beautifully with red meats and game or Spanish tapas.
