Chateau Julien Barrel Selected Chardonnay 2011
The Barrel Selected label was first introduced in 1998. Hints of lemon drops and ripe pear fruit complement fruit-forward aromas of buttercream and vanilla. A nice texture is balanced with superb sugar and acidity through a full finish. These wines typically have mild tannins and are fruit-forward, making them extremely food-friendly and approachable upon release.
Chateau Julien Wine Estate was founded by Bob and Patty Brower in 1982, a 16-acre estate located in Carmel Valley, California. The winery boasts breathtaking vistas of the lush green valley surrounded by the majestic Carmel Valley Mountains. The building itself is a replica of a home on the French/Swiss border. The Browers' commitment to hospitality can be seen, since it along with warmth exudes from the moment guests enter the chateau. A comfortable, inviting atmosphere is extended to each and every guest—a magnificent grand fireplace, open beam ceilings, and well-appointed antiques set the stage for tasting Private Reserve wines.
