Chateau Douley Premier Cotes de Bordeaux 2006
Chateau Douley is a juicy little Premieres Cotes de Bordeaux with a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Fermentation is by grape variety and plot origin and takes place in temperature controlled tanks. Quite the process for the fare, then 2/3 of the wine matures in one-year oak barrels; the remaining is drawn from small stainless steel tanks. The result is an expansive, sweet, mineral-laced black cherry and cassis fruit wine with a fragrant, medium to full-bodied personality, and outstanding ripeness, delineation, and purity. As complex as it is, it's also somple and meant to be drunk young...
