Chateau des Perligues Graves Rouge 2015
Graves is one of the famed 'left bank' appellations of Bordeaux, lying just southeast of the City of Bordeaux. The name derives from the gravelly nature of the soils found here. This medium bodied red wine has nuances of blueberry and black current fruit typical of the Cabernet varietal, and a soft roundness on the palate derived from the Merlot in the blend.
One of the famed left bank appellations of Bordeaux is the Graves region, lying just South and East of the City of Bordeaux. The grapes for Perligues are farmed on a 7 Hectare (17 Acre) vineyard planted on well drained sandy-gravel soils. The vineyard sits along the banks of the Garonne River and benefits from the temperate micro climate, producing classic Graves of extrodinary quality, at very reasonable prices.
