Chateau de Chamirey Blanc 2007 has a clear golden-green, lemon color. On the nose, the wine develops aromas of citrus lemon, grapefruit, and notes of cinnamon spices (due to barrel aging). On the palate, the wine is fresh and harmonious; notes of sour citrus fruits can be found. This wine will taste very good as an aperitif and perfectly accompany seafood casserole, cold cuts, white meat, or blue cheese pate.
Chateau de Chamirey, built in the early 18th century, is an elegant chateau influenced by Italian architecture overlooking French gardens. Situated on a rocky outcropping, the chateau has a unique position over the vineyards of Mercurey.
