100% matured in French oak barrels. Brilliant garnet red in color with tints of ruby. Aromas of red fruit and red peppers are acompanied by soft, smooth vanilla and liquorice notes. The tannins are agreeable, fine, and rich, which begins to integrate. The palate is full, has good balance, and has a subtle mix of spices, old rose, and cherries.
85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Caebernet Sauvignon. Chateau Coucy bears the name of an old English family who lived in the Quitaine in the XVth century. The domain extends over 49 acres of limestone-clay soils.
