Cellar No. 8 Eight 2010
This wine is a blend of eight different grapes: petite sirah, grenache, mourvedre, syrah, sangiovese, zinfandel, merlot and cabernet sauvignon. The nose is filled with loads of ripe berries and pie-like characteristics. Ripe berry notes, spice and roasted coffee were balanced perfectly with a touch of acidity and oak. The flavors were soft and silky with hints of each grape working perfectly together.
Introducing Cellar No.8 - robust, full-flavored red wines steeped in a rich heritage. It was back in 1881 when Italian immigrants founded the Asti Winery in Sonoma County. Applying methods and expertise from the old country, they created immortal reds and formed an entire community around which winemaking was it's soul. Today, Cellar No.8 pays tribute to the original location where these pioneers cellared their wines more than 100 years ago. At the same time, these flavorful reds reflect the lively character and hearty spirit of the people themselves.
