C. Donatiello Winery Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2012
Aromas of dark Chocolate, pomegranate, cinnamon, and dried leaves alongside notes of leather and a hint of fennel. The palate is medium bodied and with deep wild berries, cranberry, and pomegranate. Notes of spice and a hint of earth give way to deep, round tannins and a long finish. In creating the Russian River Pinot Noir, C. Donatiello sourced from a number of vineyard sites throughout the appellation. Each site represents a unique expression of Russian River Valley terroir. They chose these vineyards to create a wine that exemplifies the classic character of Russian River Pinot Noir: big, luscious, and velvety.
