93 Points, Joe Czerwinski, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “Gandona's 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Encosta features scents of crushed stone and pencil shavings layered atop ripe plums and black cherries. Joe envisioned Lot C-91 as a greater step up in quality from the Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, with a higher quality of fruit sourcing, coming exclusively from the sought-after single vineyards of Heitz Cellar.
Dark, brooding color with purple edges. A unique viscosity to this wine in the glass and immediate savory spices drifting outward. Dark red berries, Hawaiian starfruit, root beer cask, and sweet bark emerge as you lean in.
