Staffelter Hof is probably one of Moselle's oldest winegrowing estate and critics are always impressed by the exquisite balance of their wines. The proper mix of acidity and fruit sweetness sets the mouth of this Riesling with a glimpse of lemongrass, green apple, flower and mineral dust.
Pale yellow in color, with delightful aromas of dried herbs, citrus, jalapeno, crushed nettle and tomato leaf. One the palate, the wine is full bodied and has lovely textural mouthfeel with a touch of fruit sweetness balanced by salivating acidity that provides length, focus and clarity to the finish.
The deep, ruby red color of this wine, hinting at black, is the first clue to its intensity. Vibrant aromas of ripe blackberry, spice and cassis mingle with notes of vanilla and toasted oak on the nose. Full-bodied and velvety on the palate.
Opaque ruby. Ripe dark berries, cherry pit and licorice on the spice-accented nose. Lush and appealingly sweet, offering juicy blackberry and cherry flavors that take on a smoky nuance with air. Closes spicy and long, with a hint of licorice and round, even tannins.
Bright and lemony fresh on the nose. On the palate its zippy flavors of citrus, peach, fresh herbs with a touch of richness packs a punch. Fresh and zingy with a subtle sea salt-laced finish. An ideal rooftop or a park setting summer sipper
This is decidedly not your mother-in-law's "oak-bomb" Chardonnay. It has a creamy mid-palate but it's very modern in style, with a really nice balance of fresh acidity, bright fruit, and toasty biscuit notes. If you love La Crema Chardonnay, 'Intercept' Chardonnay is the one for you!
Clos de l’Elu’s 30 plots span over 22 hectares of vines, located on the southern-exposed slopes of the Loire. The estate focuses on classic Loire varieties, farmed using biodynamic principles, hand-harvested, and spontaneously fermented.
The 2017 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru matures in around 50% new oak has a well-defined bouquet with scents of Earl Grey infusing the dark berry fruit (darker than Rossignol-Trapet’s Premier Crus for example.)
Medium-bodied with tropical fruit flavors, a lively freshness and mineral hints. Intense straw-yellow color with greenish highlights. Lovely bouquet of fresh peach and candied orange, with floral and mineral notes; gains further complexity after one year in the bottle, developing notes of hazelnut and resin.
