Panek Vineyard’s early ripening nature was a blessing in 2017. All 5 blocks we work with achieved full ripeness giving us quite a bit to choose from in this vintage. That coupled with continually improving farming gave us more quantity than we hoped for pre-harvest.
This bright and captivating Sauvignon Blanc begins with head-turning aromas of pineapple, mango, guava, lemon cream and nectarine. The luxurious tropical notes are echoed on the palate, where they mingle with flavors of lychee, peach, white flowers and honeydew melon, all gliding to a fresh and focused finish.
The lead aromas of black currant, crushed minerals, black cherry and hints of rose hips are followed on the palate with flavors of black currant, soy, hints of roasted plums and beef blood. This will be the longest lived Avoyelles to date.

Sul Vulcano is a straw yellow color with golden reflections. On the nose, it presents a refined bouquet of white flowers combined with delicate citrus and vegetable scents, followed by mineral notes of flint. On the palate it is enveloping, fresh, and sapid, characterized by a marked minerality and persistence.
With a floral aroma of citrus, lemon and lime, it reveals a pleasant aromatic freshness with slight nuances of wood. On the palate it is velvety, fresh and balanced with notes of fruit, citrus, dry apricot and slight woody nuances. It results in an elegant and fresh set, with a long and persistent aftertaste of ripe citrus fruits and nuts, walnuts and almonds.
Very fresh and fruity, the aroma is rich in berries, strawberries, cherries, red berries and slight nuances of chocolate. On the palate, it is sweet; the freshness of berries and the intensity of ripe berries lingers on. Flavous of cherry, raspberry, blackcurrant, plum and a very fine tannin accompanying the fruit may be found until the persistent aftertaste.
