This Bordeaux blend was delicately crafted from grapes that were handpicked from Castel's Israeli vineyards. Aged in stainless steel tanks after fermentation the Castel La Vie Rouge Du Castel exhibits youthful and fresh characters. Look for red fruit flavors including cherries, red cassis and red currants in this medium body.
Domaine du Castel is a small family-owned winery located in the Judean Hills near Jerusalem. It was first planted in 1988 and released its first Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot wines in 1992. The Ben-Zaken family did not plan to produce more than this 1992 vintage, but after positive feedback, more vineyards were planted and a winery built.
