Casa de la Ermita Dulce Tinto Monastrell 2006
Well-covered, almost-opaque purple-red color. A development of good touches of wild, extremely ripe fruits with touches of spices and sweetness. It shows a good harmony, developing well with wild-fruit puree. Tasty, kind, persistent, and with an adequate tannin, which counteracts the sweetness so that it is not excessive.
The Casa de la Ermita winery, surrounded by their vineyards, is situated at more then 2,297 feet above sea level, where flora and fauna live in harmony live in a unique environment. It has a fleet of 4,200 barrels of 225 liters each, three pneumatic presses, cooling equipment, bottling machine for 5,000 barrels per hour, and a storage capacity of 2,500 kiloliters. The grapes enter the cellar at a height of 26 feet with the vinification process being carried out via gravity. The elaboration process takes between 10 and 15 days with temperature control, thus achieving complex and flavorful wines with a good aptitude for aging.
