Cantine Lento Dragone Rosso 2014
The wine "Dragone" comes from a selection of the best grapes produced in a terroir unique for its position, history, and tradition, where Lento's vineyards are opened at the same time to two different seas, mirror of the same Mediterranean Sea. Intense ruby red. A wide and eveloping nose, rich in red-fruit notes with spicy and persistent, final notes. An important structure with a balanced tannin content, to make it round, velvety, very pleasant.
Magliocco and Merlot grapes. Cantine Lento, established in 1972, owns a cultivated area of over 247 acres, divided into three estates: Tenuta Romeo, Tenuta Villa Caracciolo (PDO Lamezia), and Tenuta Galati (Calabrian PGI). In these estates, distinct from each other by location and the variety of grapes grown, the main cultivation operations are performed manually. These factors, associated with the vineyards' southern exposure, an excellent temperature range between day and night, and the location in a natural amphitheater, allow ideal conditions for obtaining a perfect ripening of the grapes and therefore wine of great character and personality. Also the peculiarity of the autochthonous varieties, magliocco, white and black greco, nerello, and malvasia together with the prestige of international varieties such as cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay, and merlot allow Cantine Lento to offer a wide range of selected wines.
