Buenas Ondas Malbec-Syrah 2012
The name Buenas Ondas, means "good vibes" or "good waves," which is exemplified in this very-smooth wine. It is full bodied, lush, fruity (especially raspberry which is typical of Syrah), and balanced, with the characteristic dry Malbec finish. Opens with highlighted aromas of flowers like violets, with very complex notes of vanilla and chocolate. The palate is very round and has a wide and large entry, with round tannins and a long aftertaste. Vanilla, chocolate, and red-fruit flavors appear in the finish.
Certified Organic. 50% Malbec, 50% Syrah. Estate bottled by Bodegas y Vinedos Fabril Alto Verde. In the dry, baking heat of the San Juan province, in the foothills of the Andes mountains, the Fabril Alto Verde estate, established in 1998 by Dr. Rodolfo Nale, lies in a riparian area of woods and river. There the Nale family has been cultivating their vineyard (located in the Tulum Valley) organically for many years since 1993, and so have been one of the very first vineyards to receive full organic certification under the new Argentine Organic Legislation. The ARGENCERT logo and lot number is your guarantee of their organic authenticity.
