Bruno Giacometto Erbaluce di Caluso 2013
Other Grape | Italy
Fresh scent with a slight herbaceous note, clotted and mineral, this wine is drawn to the notes of sage, jasmine, acacia, in addition to the sweet scent of green apple and white peach and banana.
Erbaluce is a very ancient indigenous grape variety and is grown almost entirely in the Province of Turin, more precisely in the area of "Canavese" centered around the town of Caluso. A part of the DOCG also lies in some municipalities of the Province of Biella, in the area surrounding Viverone Lake. The grape is a white berry. The name "Dawn Light" probably comes from the color that the berries take in the fall with aging, when the sunlight passing through the grape give them hints of gold and amber.
