Bravdo Quadro 2011
Bravdo Quadro 2011 is a composition of four grape varieties creating a blended wine with an enhanced, beneficial flavor. The wine had aged 12 months in oak barrels and has undergone a process of natural shade without filtering. This dark, red wine is full bodied with generous and soft tannins, enveloping the palate with rich, fruity aroma, like only Bravdo can.
35% Cabernet Franc, 20% Merlot, 25% Shiraz, and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. In 1999 Professor Ben Ami Bravdo, a faculty member of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and one of the leading modern viticulture scientists in the world, together with his former student, Professor Oded Shoseyov—an international expert in wine produce, decided to implement 40 years of academic knowledge and established the Karmei Yosef Winery. The winery is located in the heart of the vineyard, owned by the Shoseyov family who began growing grapes over 130 years ago, at the foothills of the majestic village of Karmei Yosef on the way to Jerusalem. And, cool summer nights along with the limestone-rich soil at the 50-acre estate are known to produce fine-wine grapes since the time of Solomon's kingdom.
