Braida Bricco Dell'Uccellone 2003
Bricco dell'Uccellone is an old vine, single vineyard Barbera, a very famous wine; widely regarded as Italy's top Barbera. It is well suited to long aging.
The name literally means "big bird" as the vineyard was oft watched over by a very tall woman who would stand on her villa's balcony and curiously watch the vineyard workers when they were tending the vines. Thus came the name from Giacomo Bologna.
