Bodegas Verum 2010
A wine marked strongly by the soil, the limestone more than three meters that gives it its special character. Absolutely a wine of terroir. The nose is very powerful and elegant, showing violets, black fruit, spices, and balsamic notes. The palate is velvety and silky with sweet tannins, well-integrated acidity, and a very persistent finish.
60% Merlot, 30% Tempranillo, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Produced and bottled by CLM-297/CR for Bodegas y Vinyedos Verum. Bodegas y Vinyedos Verum is located in Tomelloso, a town in La Mancha—the largest wine-producing region in the world. Wine-culture tradition permeates everyday life and the customs of this town since its development was driven by winemaking and distilling. As a result, the town ranks now among the top-winemaking places in the world. At Verum they have always been convinced that wine is actually made in the vineyard and this conviction governs their winery. Indeed, their wines acquire their very essence from our vine stocks—many of which are over 50 years old.
