Bodega Pirineos Marbore 2002
Pirineos wines are well defined, crisp, generous, and striking, like the Pyrenees Mountaings that give them its name. They marry the excitement of Pirineos' indigenous somontano grapes with the sophistication of Europe's classic varietals. This is a wine of depth and character that brings a Bordeaux heritage to the fruit of Northern Spain.
50% Tempranillo, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 5% Parraleta, 5% Moristel. Bodegas Pirineos, a member of Grupo Barbadillo, is the founding winery of Somontano. It is deeply rooted in society and has staunch support thanks to the participation of over 200 winemakers from the regional cooperative. The winery produces wines, manzanillas, sherries, and brandies and has become a company of international renown. Bodega Pirineos Marbore was born of a research project supported by the Eureka label. It is the result of a fusion of the best and most precious European oenological values, terroir, native varieties, prestige, with the virtues of New World wine, viticultural precision, enological control, technology, and design.
